Well if the skins in the default Skulltag package are listed in SKININFO alphabetically (if they're not already) at least it would solve some of the problem. (Or it should anyways.) As Torr said I disabled it to fix a bug. When I reported the bug over at zdoom.org Graf just said "Skulltag shoul...

Not really. The reason the sort didn't work is it changed the index of the skins after the indices were assigned to the classes. So if I mod had more than one player class the skins failed to work. In essence it is a ZDoom bug, but neither Graf or Randy are going to fix it (understandably since ZDoo...

Is there any proven strategy to make generic binaries with maximized compatibility? Currently I use Ubuntu and http://autopackage.org/apbuild-apgcc.php to make the Linux builds. Just to note, we may have identified the difference between the 32-bit and 64-bit binaries. I don't do anything besides t...

EDIT: Wow, seems Blzut figured out the overflowing issue. Perhaps testing would be a good idea, anyway though? Or shall we put this to rest until another issue is found? All this really proves is that the bug happened even under Ubuntu. It was just a matter of me finding enough time to download GvH...

Although I can't speak for SoulPriestess, I'm guessing raw PCM (wav) data or lossless compression (FLAC) would be preferred. That way we can decide what kind of compression to use with minimal quality loss.

Mac OS X should generate a crash log if I'm not mistaken?

Also, have you tried running Skulltag from the terminal to see if you can get more useful information?

If the only error is the source packages then you're fine.

Based on that the only thing I can think of is to check to make sure that Skulltag is enabled in the query menu.

Using a pk3 to merge multiple levels is easy. Just put them in the maps directory and the name of the file will be the map slot.

I've also released that will merge the master levels into a single wad.

Unfortunately that log isn't helping me a whole lot. Is that all it tells you? I could have sworn the Mac gives a full back trace, but that could be because I have developer tools installed. Given that it's a "Dyld" error message it looks like there's a missing library somewhere. Unfortuna...

Are the 97c2 source botscript templates compatible with the 98d engine? It seems strange to me to write a compiler for botscript lumps based on source code that compiles into an engine version other than the one I intend to use it on. Maybe one of you guys closer to the source of the engine people ...

I assume you're experiencing seemingly random stuttering? Turn on the cl_capfps and that should go away.

Let me know if the 64-bit build doesn't work. I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 and they decided to put zlib in a new place. Also I had to make one small modification to get it to build, so I'm not sure it will work online.

It seems some distros link to libdl automatically and others don't, so Arch may have just recently changed.

I don't know whether I should update to 11.04 too? But will 98d still work then? Like anything backwards compatibility is usually a lot better than forwards compatibility (so 98d still works with 11.04). Whenever the next build of 98e happens I'll use by chroot environment so you won't need to upgr...

I have Skulltag.app and Doomseeker.app in /Applications. Path to client binary and Path to server binary are set to /Applications/Skulltag.app. IWADs are in /Library/Application Support/ZDoom. When configured like that starting a server works fine for me, although the server console seems to hide it...
