I was gonna make some negative remarks but there's no point really.

I will say however, if you even added ChexQuest creatures then why not HacX and Freedoom too?

Cool. It's like ZDW except everybody is against the poor little space marines. :P

It would also be cool if you could make the monsters from different games spawn in different areas of the map, which look like their respective games. Have a north room be Doom, east = Heretic, south = Hexen, and west room = Strife, and have them open one by one. That would be pretty sweet.

I didn't get to say this the other day but.. Dammit man, the first map was just.. too much. I ended up dieing least 100 times, and yes I played with Offline Skirmish, Had to enable netgame by hand, and well, after the 11th round chimed in, I said F it, and went to the next map.

Ofc, the next few maps were almost in the same fashion. Should Cut down on the Monster Counts, but then again Invasion was meant to be Multiplayer.

Here are my results for MAP01 :P Only cheated once on wave 5 with just the cybie left, so I turned on fastweapons and took care of it faster. For the most part, I camped out in the SSG room (since wave 2 to 6). Also, damn those Inquisitors are strong.

I have played (and hosted on my server) a mod called Monster Mashup that did a similar thing. It was on wadhost before "the incident". I see your mod is a little bit more ambitious, though, modifying the weapons, too, and adding maps. Could this be used as a mod on other maps?

I'm sure it's not the most original concept out there, unfortunately, but I'm trying to do my best for an enjoyable set of invasion maps. And yeah, I plan on possibly adding another weapon or two (particularly thinking of the Firemace and Sigil, as they're the most unique weapons; all other Heretic weapons are pretty much Doom reskins, most Hexen weapons are too weak in their concept for dealing with masses of monsters, and Flamethrower/Sigil are the only really notable Strife ones apart from Sigil IMO)


As for using it as a mod, if you mean replacing Doom monsters with ones from other games, then yeah, that was pretty much how this started, I only recently made it into an Invasion wad. I remember the mass of Iron Liches screaming on HR2 MAP07... I'll probably put that available for download eventually, right now I'm really focused on tweaking version 1.1 before it goes public and hopefully hosted somewhere. And to top that off, I'm having a fuckton of exams this week...
