Could be neat but doesn't mean you'll always see your teammates' texts without having to check the top of your screen. This might be useful during a firefight but everything moves so fast that you won't have time to read each little bubble. So I don't agree.....

Did you read the template before posting this? Good idea though.

I'm pretty sure this is impossible due to the largeness of the Doom font.

Also (I really hate to bring back this quote, but its happening again):

Skulltag is not a chat room. If you want to chat, go on IRC and get out of the server. An example is your screenshot being some social program dedicated to chatting, Skulltag is a first person shooter.

If people wanna chat, they'll chat regardless. Bubble or not. But I was just stating this would actually help.

I could live without it, sorry to say.
Besides the fact that everything moves so friggen fast, and would confuse me even more than I usually am... how are you gonna see the chat bubble (with text) at very long distances or if the player is behind a wall/obstacle?

How about we just leave it as it is because it works and not be all unnecessary fancy fancy?

Can you imagine how large some of those chat boxes could be, you won't be able to see anything else but a huge bubble, nice idea but the time needed to implement and the fact that the chat bubble would just obscure your view of almost everything makes it a clear no, disagree from me.
