I haven't seen this tutorial in the forum, so I thought it would be a good idea to post it.

First you must open your map editor (I'll use Doombuilder).
Then make a map in "skulltag(doom in hexen format)" configuration.

Now Make 3 sectors like this


After you have the sectors, make the small sector's floor height -96.



After you have the height like this, you can start putting the Bridge actors.
Put 4 Actors in the small sector and make them "bridge radius 32".
Also, in Z height of the bridge thing, you must put 96.(Otherwise, you would fall.)(Of course, this number changes depending on floor height.)



Now let's put some textures to the bridge.
To do this, make some linedefs in the small sector



After you made the lines, select them, and pick the texture you want.



When you have the textures, change the texture offset like this:



now just put the player start and you have your bridge!

Cool tutorial :)

It's mainly just using bridge things and midtextures to create a 3d bridge illusion though.

3d midtex takes out the hassle of bridge things. No mater how you shape your bridge, 3dmidtex will take care of it.
