Posted on the Ubuntu forums. If they remove it or not is their choice.

I'd say his tutorial is better than the one on the Wiki, but that's just my opinion :P Thanks a lot for this! Makes my load a little easier(whenever someone asks "How do I run Skulltag on Linux?" I usually end up explaining it, being an avid Linux user hehe)

Hmm.. Is there a repository for x86_64 builds? Or are they supplied on the page? Also what about Karmic?

It does look like a good tutorial,
but really, did you need to come into the server and advirtise it?

I mean, if the people who had Ubnuntu was in the server, they already were playing XD

Can't install Skulltag this way on Kubuntu 10.04 because of "404 - not found".

I'm also quite new to the Skulltag app, but I managed to install in Ubuntu using this tutorial. Thanks!!

I was, however, unable to save games from Heretic and Hexen. I even at the Ubuntu forums where this guide is replicated, but I believe this is the right place to ask about this.

Does anyone know why this happens? Screenshots are recorded/created without any problems in the ~/.skulltag folder, so I guess is not a permission problem. I tried to deal with the skulltag.ini file to see if that could solve the problem, but no luck. Any ideas?

Regading the saved games issue, it is already mentioned in in Skulltag forum.

It is a bug from version 0.98c, so it will probably be fixed by next version.

In the meantime, you can manually edit the skulltag.ini file (located in ~/.skulltag folder).

Find the section "save_dir=" and change it to "save_dir=~/.skulltag". Also works for full paths as well.
