Images speak louder than words.




On another note I'd like the community to help come up with doom related names for all the properties. if i get enough and if they are really good than they'll be added.

if you do choose to help come up with names please specify the spot that they go in rating then from Awesome(boardwalk) to Shitty(Mediterranean Avenue)

Oh and places I don't need named is free parking, and jail

Hangar and Entryway for Baltic and Mediterranean, then Dis and Icon of Sin for Park Place and Boardwalk!

Maybe the four secret levels in ultimate doom for the railroads? The two secret ones in doom2 for utilities?!

I'm just shouting out ideas.

I suppose I could supply a few names of property for this project.
Most valuable green: Tower of babel (E2M8 of doom)
Green next to MVG: containment area (E2M3? of doom)
green next to jail: Deimos anomaly (E2M1 of doom)
I definitely look forward to a project like this, and wonder if there's any beta release date yet.
(By the way, I think you forgot to mention you won't need a name for go.)

Also, I think you should use "boss maps" and "starting maps" only, like Tower of babel, Gateway to Hell, Point Dreadful, Source Control, etc

Loving the idea for this. Maybe have Community Chest changed to Backpack or something. I dunno. Chance on the other hand... that's probably one of the harder things to come up with.

Oh, and why does the cursor look awkward?

Dark Blue: Icon of Sin/ ether end of E4 or E3
Green: E4
Yellow: E3
Red: Doom 2 hell maps
Orange: Doom 2 "city" maps or E2
Light Purple: mix of E1/E2
Light Blue: E1/ map 2 of Doom 2
Dark Purple: Hanger Entryway
Railroads: ult doom secret maps
utilities: no idea

While I was eating some food about an hour ago, I came up with the idea of having stimpacks as houses and medkits as hotels. (Seeing how medkits are useful compared to the stimpacks)

D5m1, moo2d, king1, etc. are good ideas for board spaces, unless you're limiting it to vanilla map names.



That screenshot doesn't even really look like Doom at all!

Hmm... just random thoughts

Instead of having cash, use Health. Have monsters on the board and when you roll, you have to roll to kill the monster(s) and you get extra HP/Armor for it.

Jail = lose all armor
Free Parking = No monster zone (or something else?)


Instead of using a money system, make it so that people can use their HP (cut themselves and let loose some blood) to summon monsters on a space (instead of houses/apartments etc.)

I would probably say "Entryway" for GO and "Caged" for Jail

(In case you haven't thought about the idea) Use player sprites or monsters as the player :P

The Railroads could be the IWADs. Go could be Hangar.

The other ideas mentioned above are all pretty good too.
