We also intend on fixing the "Next one to frag or die will be switched", like it is now. And we also may add the option I suggested here: http://www.skulltag.net/forum/viewtopic ... 34#p293434

But that could take a bit of time. As Eruanna said, we are looking to make this easier on your eyes, your computer and if you host, your server. And fixing bugs/exploits of course. This is basically just a huge test run we want to put out there so we can get a full grasp on all the bugs and things that need to be fixed.

Pretty awesome. Never expected several Skulltag Staff, including admins and devs, to work on this. You made me double check the date, but nope, there's still a month to go. :P

This sounds very interesting, though I must ask:

Will the powerup crate be changed? Lately it seems that those who camp the crate will more than likely be the victors. This creates a somewhat reliance
on camping the powerup crate, which last I remember is not the central point of the game(ironically its usually on the center of the map). Nothing like getting
all kinds of Buffs and timestops to gain the upper hand(rarely will you get the negative crates for some reason).

Also it feels like plasma cannons are too common, seems like as if later on in games 3 or 4 people are using plasma cannons the whole time.

Good luck on this as I would love to see a balanced AoW.

It would be interesting if the crate spawned where it does now the first time. Then when it spawns again it appears in one of 6 random locations in the center area of course. Then on pickup again it would randomly spawn again.

We are going to try to make this a more fair game mode, but we have to concentrate on bugs first before adding/removing anything. So it would be great if you guys could post bugs you experience. :D

But after that we may add some things. Or modify a bit.

If you're getting some european testers for it; i might host a server (Not perfect, but playable. Most of europeans should have up to 150 ping.). I spend most of my time on my PC, though, not when i am on vacation.

Oh yes, and could you make an Doom Builder 2 prefab pack for the buildings?

EDIT: By the way, would it be possible to make some GL maps? Instead of the normal AOW start, they should have GLAOW, which would mark them as OPENGL ONLY maps.

There is one bug/exploit with the flashbangs. I dunno how it happens, but sometimes I would end up getting 4 flashes instead of 2 (Mainly from some kind of upgrading, I dunno yet). I'm gonna play around with it to figure it out and report the problem. :D

I always hated the level of detail in AOW maps. If you need somebody good with jungle and urban areas, you can count me in!
